In order to enrol at an ACT Government school you are required to complete an application form, this form is available on the ACT Education Directorate website. Once this form has been completed and submitted it is emailed to the school of your choice and they will contact you to let you know if your child has been provisionally enrolled.
All new student enrolment applications for 2018 open from 26 April 2017 (day 1 term 2). Initial responses for 2018 applications will be emailed from 23-26 June 2017. If you are enrolling your child to start school in 2017 or if your child is transferring to an ACT public school at any stage you will need to use the same online form.

Parents/carers are welcome to apply to enrol/transfer their son or daughter at any time during the school year using an online application form. Full details are available from the Education website.

We offer a number of programmes to support our students achieve their goals in both academic and creative fields.
Applications for placement into the G &T Programme are required to be submitted by 31 October for entry the following year. For more information please refer to our G & T Programme under Curriculum on the website.
Teachers work collaboratively with parents to create Individual Learning Plans (ILPs) for students with particular needs. This ensures that all students are able to achieve personal success in a mainstream setting. We offer additional support through our Learning Resource Centre (LRC) on the Senior Site and the e-learning cafe on the Junior Site. At Gold Creek School we are committed to closing the achievement gap for Aboriginal students. We nurture and value the cultural identify of our Aboriginal students in order to assist them to be successful learners. We welcome Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander family members, parents and community members to our school.
We provide the opportunity for students in Years 7-10 to participate in one of our school bands. The band performs regularly at assemblies as well as participating in performances at Floriade, Open Nights, and at the Australian National Eisteddfod. Many students who attend Gold Creek School are from Australian Defence Force families. The school Defence Transition Mentor is available to support the educational transition of students and their families when they arrive from out of state and international schools.
