Junior Site - Band
Gold Creek School offers an Instrumental Music Program in the form of a brass band. This is an auditioned band, with students in Year 5 having the opportunity to sit a music aptitude test to secure a place in the band for 2 years. Students participate in three lessons each week, and are involved in many performances throughout the school year as individual bands, combined with Senior Site band, or as combined bands with all Instrumental Music Program bands across the ACT.
Junior Site - Instrumental Tuition
We have instrumental tuition available at Gold Creek School. Lessons are provided by Musicorp, the teachers come in during the school day to deliver individual or group lessons. Senior Site - Band and Beginner Band
On the Senior Site, Band runs for 1 hour a week rotating within the schools timetable. We have a few options available for experienced players, or students who would like to learn a new instrument.
- If you already know how to play a band instrument and either own your own or would like to hire one from school, please fill in the sign-up form below and come along and join us at Band each week
- If you would like to learn to play a new band instrument, we run a Beginner Band alongside the main Band. You will also need to attend a compulsory additional weekly support session until you are ready to join the main Band. Please fill in the sign-up form below.

Senior Site – other Music ensembles
- Jazz Band: an ensemble for experienced musicians who want to play more challenging music – please chat to a Music/Band teacher or just come along to a rehearsal if you are interested in joining
- Vocal Group: for anyone who wants to come along and sing!
- Rock Band: for experienced/beginner instrumentalists and singers who would like to form their own band, or join an existing one
