How to Enrol


Application Process

In order to enrol at an ACT Government school you are required to complete an application form, this form is available on the ACT Education Directorate website. Once this form has been completed and submitted it is emailed to the school of your choice and they will contact you to let you know if your child has been provisionally enrolled.

Use the online enrolment/transfer form and Parent/carer guide to enrolment/transfer for ACT public schools located on the 'Enrolling in an ACT Public School' section of the Education Directorate website.

Enrolling/Transferring - ACT Public Schools

Visit the Education website at www.education.act.gov.au for more information and to enrol using the online enrolment form

Parents/carers are welcome to apply to enrol/transfer their child at any time during the school year using an online application form. Full details are available from the Education website.

Once this step has been completed there are a number of documents which will need to be sighted by the school to complete the application process and you will be advised via email with further instructions.

Gifted and Talented Students

Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Student Support

At Gold Creek School we are committed to closing the achievement gap for Aboriginal students. We nurture and value the cultural identify of our Aboriginal students in order to assist them to be successful learners. We welcome Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander family members, parents and community members to our school.

Band

We provide the opportunity for students in Years 7-10 to participate in one of our school bands. The band performs regularly at assemblies as well as participating in performances at Floriade, Open Nights, and at the Australian National Eisteddfod. Defence Student Support

Many students who attend Gold Creek School are from Australian Defence Force families. The school Defence Transition Mentor is available to support the educational transition of students and their families when they arrive from out of state and international schools. If you would like the support of the Defence Transition Mentor please complete Defence Families form and return it to the school.
