Gold Creek School has two libraries, one supporting the teaching and learning on each of the sites.
The primary site library is run as a joint facility with Holy Spirit Catholic School which operates next to the primary site and we believe that our facilities and resources are second to none.
A qualified teacher librarian not only provides assistance to teachers in their planning of curriculum, but also elicits a love of reading and books in our youngest students. Everyday the library is a hive of activity with students researching, reading and practising their oral and written communication skills. Books are available in a number of languages to cater for our multicultural community. Parents and carers are encouraged to borrow books to support reading at home.
The senior site library is central to the teaching and learning at Gold Creek School. It offers printing, photocopying and research services as well as an extensive range of books to be borrowed. The library is open most recess and lunch times for students to complete homework, read, play cards or board games and many other activities.
The senior site library is home to two of the three computer labs which are available for classes to use. Additionally there are a number of netbooks which are able to be borrowed out and used in other spaces within the library.
